Brian Harlow
Brian Preston Harlow is entering his tenth season as Director of the Rutgers University Chorus, Newark Campus. He also serves as Organist an Choirmaster of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Gladstone, NJ and works with choirs of children and adults at other churches and synagogues in northern New Jersey. As a conductor, recitalist, and accompanist, Dr. Harlow has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and South America. He loves to collaborate with vocalists and instrumentalists, and performs together with Christopher Harlow-Jennings as Duo Organists.
Dr. Harlow holds the degrees of Doctor of Musical Arts, Master of Musical Arts and Master of Music from Yale University School of Music, as well as the Bachelor of Music degree with High Distinction from Indiana University School of Music. He received a number of prestigious awards from both schools and from the American Guild of Organists, from which he holds the Associate Diploma. Dr. Harlow is the Instrumental Music Reviewer for the Journal of the Association of Anglican Musicians and serves on the board of Music in the Somerset Hills.
