David Bergeland

Faculty member David Bergland

Bergeland is a multimedia producer and trainer specializing in digital media including video, audio slideshows, podcasts and documentary and editorial content for the Web. He is an award-winning photojournalist with more than 25 years experience as a photojournalist at a variety of newspapers and wire services in South Dakota, New Jersey and Colorado.

Bergeland is currently teaching the “Intro to Multimedia” class at Rutgers University on the Newark campus. During this class, students learn the latest techniques for creating still photography, audio and video projects. The students learn to follow a technical workflow and use industry-standard software to produce projects that conform to the formats used in professional newsrooms.
